Occasional Child Care

The Occasional Child Care (OCC) provides stimulating, educational and age appropriate activities for children aged 0 - 5 years. It is a fresh, modern and well maintained community care service that has qualified and caring staff which has been operating since 1980 and is funded by the Department of Community services.

The OCC offers a variety of experiences that are fun, education, creative and open-ended, where children are able to achieve and build confidence. These include indoor and outdoor activities as well as planned play experiences that give children the opportunity to develop their social, moral, communication, thinking and physical skills.

OCC also has a school readiness programme to develop pre-writing, reading and language skills, independence, confidence, co-operation and enthusiasm, to ease the transition to school.

The service is open from 9am – 3 pm, Mondays to Fridays during school terms.

Occasional Child Care will be closed for school holidays from Friday 18 December 2009 and will reopen on Tuesday 27 January 2010.
